I'm a born and raised westsider and I've always liked trying to make people laugh ever since I was a kid. (Not saying I succeeded)!
I have done some stand-up comedy in the past, but I prefer to write comedy scripts rather than to perform live so, that is how "Typical Westsiders " was born.
I hope you enjoy watching our web series as much as we do filming it!
When my friend Brian approached me about creating our own sitcom, my initial reaction was, "That would be amazing, if it were possible." But when he told me he had everything in place to make it happen and that we could start right away, I was overwhelmed with excitement. Film has always been a passion of mine, but until this opportunity, being part of a film project never seemed feasible.
The entire experience of creating a sitcom with my friends and family has been an absolute blast every step of the way. If I had to choose my proudest moment, it would be when we finally watched Season 1 and saw everything come together on screen. Everyone contributed, and we all came together for the same reason: to create a show that would make people laugh!
In addition to my work on Typical Westsiders, I've been fortunate enough to work as a background extra in several movies filmed in the Cincinnati area, including:
I must add that I wouldn't be where I am today without the shared passion for film and the art of quoting that my brother and I shared growing up. Jim, movies were always our thing. Our shared pastime and our shared dream. I dedicate it all to you.
Believe it or not, some of the antics that are shown on Typical Westsiders may actually be a reenactment. (Not that I'll share exactly which parts but...)
After years of friendship and knowing someone his entire life, there's something special about putting fun and lighthearted content out into the world with people you're close to.
While watching the episodes, we hope you enjoy laughing with us and at us!
Knowing Brian Ibold these years, when asked to be in his production, I knew I couldn’t say no! Playing the parking lot guy has been a blast and not challenging except that, as an old guy, lines are tough sometimes.
The best part is the new friends I’ve made. Learning to work camera sound has been pretty cool too!
In my opinion it's funny as hell to be able to act like my real personality! LOL can't wait to get back to the next episodes.
